  • See You At The Weekend

A warm welcome awaits you in Orkney this winter. Come and join us over a long weekend, or take a mid-week break, relax, breathe in our fresh sea air and experience stunning landscapes and spectacular seascapes. On a clear night you might even catch a glimpse of the amazing Northern Lights!

Winter offers a quieter time to enjoy exploring our islands, from strolling along unspoilt beaches to visiting world famous Neolithic, Bronze Age, Viking and wartime heritage sites. It’s also a great time to see many rare birds, whales and porpoises, and spot some adorable Grey seal pups. Take time to shop for handmade crafts on Orkney’s Creative Trail and, of course, sample some wonderful fresh local produce in our many fine restaurants, cafes and bars.

There’s so much to see and do in Orkney, and to help you plan your trip, we’ve got a great range of enticing winter offers below, as well as some inspiring itinerary ideas and films to help you make the most of your stay. Remember to check out our events calendar and news page too.

We look forward to seeing you soon….
