There are patches of vibrant wildflowers to be found across the islands, and the fields are full of barley swaying in the summer breeze too.
It's definitely one of our favourite things about Orkney at the moment. You can see a patchwork of fields with different cuts of grass and crops, with country roads snaking inbetween.
There's plenty of colour to be found on the coast too.
Of course, this burst of life will come to an end in a month or so when the harvest season begins and the islands start to look towards autumn. But, for now, we'll continue to enjoy this special sight of summer.
