Orkney food and drink members heading for the Highlands

Nine Orkney food and drink businesses will be showcasing some of the finest products from the islands in Inverness this weekend.

The Orkney Food & Drink members are all taking part in Taste of the Highlands at Eden Court on Saturday 14 March. The newly expanded event brings together producers and makers from across the Highlands and Islands.

More than 50 businesses will be taking part, offering visitors the chance to sample their products and find out more about their stories. The event will feature everything, from artisan meat and cheese, to spirits, beers, and freshly baked goodies.

Representing Orkney will be:

Project Manager for Orkney Food & Drink, Kerry Leask, said: “Attending these kinds of events is really important for our members. It's the perfect chance for them to reach new customers and to promote products far and wide.

“They're used to heading even further afield so to be able to take a relatively short journey to Inverness is really welcome and those taking part can’t wait to meet all the other makers from the Highlands & Islands. There’s a vibrant food and drink scene in the region and Orkney Food & Drink is really proud to be part of it.”
