Fresh from the opening of its fabulous Scapa Noust whisky tasting experience, the team at the Scapa Distillery has unveiled the latest refurbishment project at the site on the outskirts of Kirkwall.
The doors to the new-look shop officially opened last month, along with a tasting office where Scapa whisky experiences can be enjoyed.
The distillery hosts a number of tours and tastings which are available to book online. You can sample some of Scapa's exclusive distillery reserve editions, as well as vintage whiskies from the historic range, see behind-the-scenes, and visit the beautiful Scapa Noust.
The shop is well-stocked and the perfect place to pick up a bottle or two to take home for a taste of Orkney once your visit is over.
The distillery is around two miles from the centre of Kirkwall. If you're planning on walking, remember that the final stretch of road doesn't have pavements so do take extra care. The number two bus from Kirkwall Travel Centre to Houton passes the entrance road to the distillery - you can view timetables online.
