Orkney's renewable energy expertise has placed the islands at the forefront of a global green revolution over recent years.
Now, with the impact of the coronavirus pandemic being felt around the world, the research and innovation being carried out here over decades could help lead the way towards a greener future for our planet.
This short film has been produced in partnership with Orkney Renewable Energy Forum for broadcast at the 30th Orkney International Science Festival, as part of Orkney's contribution to the Virtual Islands Summit, which brings together islands worldwide to share their experiences and stories of innovation.
