An Orkney summer

With autumn approaching, change is in the air across Orkney.

As the summer months slide into September, we know some of you might be facing the prospect of shorter days and wilder weather with a degree of trepidation.

That's why we asked Orkney wildlife filmmaker Raymond Besant to document Orkney's summer in a series of short films, showcasing the best of this special season in the islands.

Raymond's films focus on the lush and vibrant habitats surrounding the lochs in our World Heritage Site, the Heart of Neolithic Orkney, and the sandy shores and blue seas of our coastline.

Sit back and soak up the sights and sounds of an island summer.

Watch all the films, including more from Orkney, on our YouTube channel.
