Ruth Kirkpatrick, HIE’s Orkney area team leader, said: “It’s vital that Orkney has a strong presence at an event as important as All Energy as it gives us the opportunity to showcase the latest developments within our renewables and low carbon sectors to a global audience of experts and decision makers. That all helps ensure we maintain our reputation as a world leading innovation centre, one where highly skilled local supply chain businesses, developers, researchers, academics and public sector funders, all work together to make a positive contribution to efforts to ensure a sustainable economic future for our community, and our planet.”
Councillor Kristopher Leask, chair of OIC’s Development and Infrastructure Committee, said: “Orkney Islands Council has been a key partner in Orkney’s presence at the All-Energy conference since its inception – and we’re pleased to continue supporting local businesses attending the event. The conference is a great opportunity to bring together the very best in the renewables and low carbon business, sharing knowledge, experience and views. It’s an extremely worthwhile opportunity for those attending – and means that Orkney can continue to hold its place at the forefront of this industry.”
