Orkney will have a strong presence at a major renewables and low carbon event being staged in Glasgow this week.
All-Energy and the co-located Dcarbonise is the UK’s largest renewable and low carbon energy exhibition and conference.
The duo of events will be held at SEC Glasgow on 10 and 11 May, with seven Orkney businesses set to attend, along with representatives from Orkney Islands Council (OIC), Orkney Harbours and Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
A special Orkney stand has been created for the exhibition with funding from the joint OIC/HIE Orkney Marketing programme.
In addition to the main exhibition showcasing the work of key businesses and organisations from throughout the renewables and low carbon sector, over 500 speakers will take part in a packed programme of presentations and discussions on the challenges and opportunities currently facing all sectors served by the two events.
During the event a special reception for invited guests will be held by HIE and OIC to mark the 20th anniversary of Orkney’s European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC).
The Orkney businesses exhibiting at the Glasgow event are:
Aquatera, EMEC, Green Marine, ICIT, Northwards Ltd, Ocean Kinetics, and Orbital.
