Where it began... Ruth Pottinger's love for coffee grew when she travelled the globe in her younger years and experienced amazing flavours of coffee in different countries and continents. She owns a Sports Performance Training Studio in Kirkwall and was inspired to use the natural stimulant that comes from caffeine to create pre-training blends. This led to the creation of her own business, Valhalla Strength Coffee, in 2019.

The Valhalla Strength Coffee Cart is a small local business with a big passion for quality. Ruth Serves up freshly made home baking, which pairs perfectly with freshly roasted Valhalla Strength coffee.

Signature treats include homemade stroopwafels and a firm favourite—delicious banana loaf—alongside an ever-changing selection of traybakes, cakes, cookies and more. Gluten-free, dairy-free and vegan options are always available.
