Where it began... Ruth Pottinger's love for coffee grew when she travelled the globe in her younger years and experienced amazing flavours of coffee in different countries and continents. She owns a Sports Performance Training Studio in Kirkwall and was inspired to use the natural stimulant that comes from caffeine to create pre-training blends. This led to the creation of her own business, Valhalla Strength Coffee, in 2019.

Moving forward with her business she now runs a pop up coffee cart selling delicious homebakes and her signature homemade Stroopwafels.
