Where it began... Ruth Pottinger's love for coffee grew when she travelled the globe in her younger years and experienced amazing flavours of coffee in different countries and continents. She owns a Sports Performance Training Studio in Kirkwall and was inspired to use the natural stimulant that comes from caffeine to create pre-training blends. This led to the creation of her own business, Valhalla Strength Coffee, in 2019.

To establish her business, Ruth collaborated with local coffee expert, Euan from The Orkney Roastery, to develop four unique and flavoursome blends of coffee which pack a punch: Thor, Kolbein, Sweyn and Magnus.

Valhalla Strength Coffee prides itself on getting the utmost fresh roast taste in all its blends. This is made possible by keeping the roast batches small. Euan freshly roasts every month to ensure that Valhalla's customers get the freshest and most delicious experience.

Bringing sport and coffee together, Ruth has sponsored many athletes locally and nationally. This ensures Valhalla Strength Coffee can put money back into the sporting community while continuing to grow, now sending our excellent locally roasted coffee all over the UK.
