The bright and airy bedroom is accessed by the spiral staircase. Each window has sea views bringing light in to the room. The bed is positioned so that when reclined in bed it is possible to experience the changing light of the Orkney sky. Open the windows to hear the water lap on the shore, the bird calls and to appreciate the wonderful sea air.

At low tide the beach in front of the house provides an opportunity for beachcombing. High tide provides easy access to the water which is so tempting for swimmers or paddlers who want to explore the coastline. Accessed by steps to the side of the house is a community garden, it is a tranquil spot to read or pass through on the way to the shop, pub, café or restaurant.

With a short drive it is easily possible to explore the Neolithic sites and Brochs that are situated throughout Orkney. A visit to the Italian Chapel is memorable. Continue across the Churchill barriers to the main towns Kirkwall and Stromness which offer an interesting and varied selection of shops, restaurants and places of interest.
