The current school role is approximately 410 pupils. The school is on a well appointed campus situated in Stromness. The school serves a dispersed population and over two thirds of the pupils are bussed into school.

This Community School was built in the early 1980s and has been kept in excellent condition and is extremely well resourced. Classrooms are well equipped and the school has extensive playing fields, including a new synthetic grass pitch, and access to the local swimming pool.
