Sheila Fleet Jewellery - Kirkwall Gallery
30 Bridge Street
KW15 1HR
Sheila Fleet OBE is one of Scotland's leading designer-makers of gold, silver and platinum jewellery. All of Sheila's jewellery is designed, made and finished at her Orkney workshop-by-the-sea in Tankerness.
Sheila Fleet's distinctive designs in silver, gold, platinum and palladium are set with diamonds, precious stones and pearls. Sheila Fleet Jewellery is collected all over the world and is known for its vibrant enamel colours and fine hand-finish. All Sheila Fleet Jewellery is designed by Sheila and made by experienced craftsmen in her state-of-the-art workshop by the sea in Tankerness, Orkney. The business remains family-run with son Martin and his wife Mairi joining Sheila to lead their skilled team.
Sheila was brought up on a farm in Orkney surrounded by the sea and sky. Her early drawings of the cliffs and shoreline gained her a place at Edinburgh College of Art. After graduating, she worked for notable jewellery companies before founding her own business in 1993. To date, Sheila has launched over 100 jewellery collections and has received an OBE from the Queen and an Honorary Degree from the University of Edinburgh. Sheila has shops in Orkney (including her flagship Kirk Gallery & Café in Tankerness), Glasgow and Edinburgh, and is looking forward to opening her new gallery in St Andrews very soon. Sheila Fleet Jewellery is also available from stockists throughout the UK and Europe.
