The comfortable Hudson Lounge offers a relaxing spot to end a day of adventuring across the islands, a warm and inviting place to while away the hours and have drinks with friends. The décor evokes Stromness’ links with the North West Territories where for many years Orkneymen swelled the ranks of gentlemen explorers, adventurers and traders of the Hudson’s Bay Company. The bar boasts a fine range of malts, gins, rums and local ales and there is tea and coffee on the go from open until close.

We are currently working on our food offering for the 2023 season and hope to have meals available in the lounge. In the interim, the restaurant in our sister establishment, the Ferry Inn is open. Bookings can be made here.
