Mental health charity based in Kirkwall that aims to promote mental wellbeing through active, personalised support with a focus on recovery.

Orkney Blide Trust offers the following services & activities to people who wish to come into the Blide:

Drop in Centre: Where people can come in and relax or speak to a member of staff. Open 365 days a year.

Housing Support Service: A registered care service that provides one-to-one support to people to improve their independent living and reduce their feelings of isolation.

Befriending Service: Trained volunteer befrienders that support people in increasing their social networks

Out and About: Social, cultural, leisure and physical activities that improve general well-being of members and challenge discrimination & stigma.

Social Enterprises: Opportunities to work for the Trust in a way that promotes self-recovery through meaningful activity. Gain catering experience in either the Blide or Cafe @ No. 65

Other activities: Knitting, Crafts, Creative Writing, Mindfulness and other activities agreed amongst members and staff. They can also gain valuable skills in Admin.
