Exclusive five room king suite. Enjoy stunning loch & sea views in this rural setting located on the outskirts of Burray village. Easy access to Orkney Mainland and South Isles via the historic Churchill Barriers.

Old School is a one level newly remodelled private home. I am Janice, owner and host for your stay. You will be my only guests with your own private entranced five room suite. Full attention will be given to making your stay as comfortable as possible. Your accommodation is large and well stocked consisting of a king size master en-suite with attached living room, dining/office room and a sun room. Set in over an acre of gardens it's a lovely peaceful spot to sit outside and enjoy the views over Loch Echna and out into Scapa Flow. During your visit a traditional full Scottish cooked breakfast locally sourced with cereals, fruits, yogurt etc will be served. Please advise in advance of your stay if you have any special diet requirements, allergies etc. I can customize the menu to your needs. Your suite accommodates couples or single travelers. If friends are travelling together the living room has a sofa bed, so there is an option to have two separate sleeping rooms.

Orkney is very easy to get around, the roads are quiet and nothing is too far away. Old School is located a 5 minute drive from the Pentland Ferry service in the village of St. Margaret's Hope and 7 miles from the airport. Burray's main village is half a mile from Old School and has a lovely cafe, shop, restaurant/pub and sandy beaches. Take a short walk up from the house and you can visit the Fossil Heritage Museum and Tea Rooms. Burray has spectacular scenery, walks, beaches and wildlife. It's a 20 minute drive to the main town of Kirkwall.
