We offer wildlife & historical speedboat tours around the beautiful islands of Orkney based within Kirkwall harbour.

Experience Orkney in a new and exciting way. Take a tour around the surrounding islands. Be amazed by local scenery and gaze at a variety of wildlife which can include seals, dolphins, whales, and various species of birds ( but NOT guaranteed). Get an up-close view like no other.

We offer 3 package tours -

30minute Tour - £15pp

Join us as we head north out of Kirkwall harbour, we will pass Hatston pier where the major cruise liners dock and see the massive scale of the ships that tower overhead. Next, we will cross a straight of water locally known as 'the string' heading towards Balfour village which is the biggest settlement on the island of Shapinsay, there you will be able to see the beautiful sights of Balfour castle, Balfour village, and the uninhabited tidal island of Helliar Holm where you will find a lighthouse built-in 1893. After this we will cross back over 'the string', heading south to Kirkwall harbour where the tour will conclude.

1hour Tour - £30pp

On this tour you will see everything included in the 30minute tour plus - leaving Balfour, we will head north again following the coastline of Shapinsay weaving our way through the skerries till we arrive at a Shapinsay WorldWar II facility called Galtness coastal battery. As we leave heading west towards Gairsay the water gets deeper and the channel wider which gives us more chance of seeing whales, dolphins and porpoises. We will then arrive at the north coast of Gairsay where we might get sight of a local seal colony. Heading back south through a small channel between Gairsay the mainland Orkney we will arrive down in Finestown where we might discover a few secrets. After all that excitement, we will head back towards Kirkwall harbour where we will conclude the tour.

2hours Tour - £60pp

Everything included in the other tours also you will able to step foot onto the island of Shapinsay, get an up-close look at the castle, the towers, the gatehouse. Be immersed in island history. Take pictures with highland cows, see how the local village operate their Eco-friendly store, leaving Shapinsay we will visit a local beach which will give you a few surprises, this can't be missed!

Our boat is fully licensed by the MCA to hold 10 passengers and 2 crew. All safety equipment/life jackets/wet weather wear are provided.
