A fine sweep of sand in Orkney's east mainland with coastal walks and beautiful sea views.

Just around the coast from Dingieshowe you'll find Newark Bay, another lovely beach with views out over Copinsay and towards Burray and South Ronaldsay.

The bay is a great place for a walk and is also popular with small boat owners, thanks to the slipway at the Geo. There is a small car park here and picnic tables and benches too. On the east side of the beach you'll find another car park with a signposted coastal path nearby, leading you along the shore to the Point of Ayre.

As with most Orkney beaches, you can expect plenty of bird life in the area, and there's a good chance you'll spot a seal or two bobbing in the water, watching you carefully as you wander along the sand.
