The New Mistra Store, Post Office and Tea Room housed in the newly refurbished, former Evie Parish Church aims to be the West Mainland's go to convenience store for high quality, locally produced goods including, groceries, household items, gifts and everyday essentials.

The all new Mistra Store opened late 2025 and provides a vibrant hub for the parishes of Evie and Rendall while encouraging travel from throughout Orkney and beyond. Offering locally sourced, organic and eco friendly alternatives to everyday groceries, household goods, gifts and more we are working towards making Mistra a sustainable and carbon positive business with links to businesses at the heart of Orkney.

Coming very soon (Feb 2026) is the addition of our new tea room. We will be serving up hot and cold snacks, freshly made soups and home bakes, all of which can be washed down with a cold drink, a wide selection of teas or with our extremely popular Mistra blend coffee supplied and roasted here on the island by The Orkney Roastery.

And if that's not enough, we are also a lifeline service for the parish offering a range of Post Office services for personal and business customers alike including:

Drop & Go postal services for marketplace sellers
Personal and business banking through cash withdrawals, cash or cheque deposits and card services
