Located in the heart of Orkney’s East Mainland, the property is 7 miles east of Kirkwall and within easy access of the airport and ferries to the North Isles and Scottish Mainland.

It is ideal for people who enjoy outdoor activities such as walking and bird watching. The Mull Head Local Nature Reserve is nearby and there are beautiful sandy beaches at Dingieshowe and Halley.

The open plan kitchen / dining / sitting room is bright and comfortable with recliner swivel chairs, dining table, side tables and a TV with Freeview and WiFi connection. There is also a small wood burning stove for the colder months.

The fitted kitchen area is equipped with an oven and hob, washer dryer, dishwasher, fridge freezer, microwave oven, iron and ironing board.

The bedroom has a zip-link bed which can be either a 6ft super-king or two 3ft single beds. It also has bedside cabinets, a built-in wardrobe and dressing table.

The shower room has an electric shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.

A lean-to shed at the rear of the cottage offers space to dry walking boots and wet weather clothing, as well as storage for bicycles, canoes etc.

There is ample private parking alongside the cottage, as well as a garden bench and rotary clothes airer.

Guests are welcome to use the surrounding garden space. Well-behaved dogs are welcome, provided they are not left unattended in the cottage.
