Black Rock Cabin is ideal for solo travellers, couples or parents with young children.

The cabin is set entirely on the ground floor and features a living-room with a pull-out sofa, a fully equipped open kitchen, a cosy bedroom and a private bathroom.

Wifi is available throughout the cabin. You’ll also find a TV, books and a small selection of board games.

We provide dog bowls and waste bags as well as blankets or dog towels.

Guests can also enjoy their own fenced-in garden with a private gate, ideal for dogs and children. There is ample private parking just behind the cabin.

After a day exploring Sanday, relax with a BBQ outside or in the hot tub with views across fields and the sea. From October to March, you might be able to enjoy Northern Lights right on your doorstep.

Black Rock’s short-term let licence allows up to 4 adults in the cabin but at 25sqm/260sqft, it is better suited to solo travellers or couples. For larger groups, check out our two-bedroom cabin Otterswick. 

Unfortunately, the cabin is not accessible to wheelchair users as this time.
