Unique and handmade jewellery from Stronsay, Orkney.
Originally from Sweden Marion Miller trained as a Jeweller in London at Sir John Cass faculty of Arts from where she graduated in 1996.
Having been brought up and lived most of her life by the sea this is where she draws most of her inspiration. The ever changing nature of sea and shore reflects in her jewellery as well as a passion for gemstones. Another big inspiration is the animal world and Hares, Birds, Owls and Fish feature in many of her pieces.
Marion wishes to tell stories through her Jewellery and hopes people will love wearing her pieces as much as she loved making them.
Her Jewellery is made to order and all pieces are unique. The workshop/studio is open by appointment.
Marion is based on the island of Stronsay in Orkney.
All her Jewellery is made by Marion in her workshop overlooking the North Sea and the Sound of Auskerry.
A range of her work can also be found in the Longship, Kirkwall or Waterfront Gallery, Stromness. The full range can be viewed on her website.
Silver Cockle Shell Pendant with Moonstone
Finding one of these beautiful shells on the beach is the inspiration behind this. This sterling silver Cockle pendant is entirely made by hand, shaped and formed using traditional techniques.
Sterling silver Limpet Shell Pendant
This little stunning pendant has been made from scratch out of my imagination to represent a Limpet Shell. It is not moulded from a shell. It is delicate but yet has a solid feel. It’s been oxidised to enhance the texture and is set with a Tourmaline.
