The Visitor Centre provides the perfect opportunity to experience the incredible history and heritage of the 5000-year-old structure.

Found in the village of Stenness, a little over a mile away from the cairn, the Visitor Centre offers plenty of information and interpretation on Maeshowe as well as free talks on Neolithic Orkney, held over eight time slots daily. Tickets must be booked in advance with limited availability due to capacity numbers.

The Visitor Centre also offers a shop and toilet facilities.
