Tomisons Cottage is a modern architecturally built home beautifully decorated throughout, with a movie room and a sitting room. The place is exceptionally cosy, no matter the outside elements.

The spacious entrance porch is the perfect place to leave your boots and jackets after a full day exploring.

Leading to the open plan Kitchen and Dining room you will be greeted by spectacular views overlooking Scapa out towards Flotta with picturesque views of Hoy Hills.

The kitchen is fully equipped for your comfort and convenience with integrated appliances including dishwasher, gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge freezer, cafetière and kettle/toaster.

Adjacent to the Kitchen is the utility/drying room with a useful sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and drying rack.

Savour your time together sharing meals around our wooden dining table that comfortably seats 6. Direct access from the dining room through doors to the garden allow you to let the outside in on summer evenings. Enjoy the spectacular sunsets that can often be observed or in the winter try and catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights.

The lounge area adjacent to the kitchen features understated luxury and is the perfect place to relax. Sink into the cosy leather sofa whilst enjoying a tipple of your choice. Enjoy a movie on our projector screen with surround sound speakers or explore our library of books in the upper seating/lounge area where you can peacefully read or catch up on any emails as the space features two desks.

On the ground floor there are 2 bedrooms and large family bathroom, movie/lounge area and sitting room.

On the first floor, there is main bedroom with an en suite shower room. A second seating area which overlooks the Hoy Hills and a library, desk space and seating area. This is also a great way to spot marine life in Scapa Flow.

And here are some exciting extras for those who love nature...

We regularly have hares, pheasants and birds in the garden, one of which is a Hen Harrier. One can even spot an eagle (on a very rare occasion). We've seen seals on the beach. Otters drinking from our pond. We've also seen Hump-backed whales, pods of orcas and dolphins in the flow perfectly visible from our sitting room (we are providing binoculars for our guests). The orcas and dolphins are fairly regular visitors. Also shoals of Mackeral make an appearance in the summer months. Cows and sheep in the adjacent fields on occasions.
