Welcome to our family-run B&B, situated in a quiet location, only a 20 minute walk along the seafront to the centre of Kirkwall.
We have two comfortable en-suite rooms, one twin room alongside one double room. We provide a continental breakfast and will endeavour to cater for any other dietary requirements to ensure you really enjoy your stay with us. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the rooms for you to enjoy along with a television and free Wi-Fi if you wish to stay in and relax.
Alternatively, if you wish to venture out and explore, Kirkwall B&B is a fantastic base in Orkney's capital to take in the many attractions Orkney has to offer, including World Heritage Sites such as Skara Brae, Maeshowe and Ring of Brodgar to name a few. For the outdoor types, there is plenty of lochs to go a spot of fishing, do a bit of bird watching and plenty of local walking routes.
Private parking is provided so you can take your own transport if you wish or public buses are available nearby as the Kirkwall travel centre is located just a 10 minute walk away which operates many regular bus routes to all areas of Orkney to help you fully explore the attractions of the 'Egypt of the North'.
There are superb restaurants, warm and inviting bars, and quirky cafes throughout Orkney many of which serving Orkney produce, as well as arts and crafts establishments including the Craft Trail . The Pickaquoy Centre, a modern leisure centre with fitness suite, cinema and swimming pool is also close by to keep both kids and adults entertained and a high street full of charm and real shopping gems.
Kirkwall has an abundance of independent retailers selling local produce, so you can sample all of the delicacies that Orkney boasts. Visit Orkney Food & Drink for some ideas.
We are very convenient for ferries to the North Isles, and have flexible check in/out times to accommodate travellers on the late ferries from Aberdeen and Shetland. For more information on ferries to the Isles visit Orkney Ferries.
