My approach is unfussy and experimental - trained originally as a jeweller, my interest in process and the relationship between designing, making and final outcome has led me, since 2013 to working with porcelain and a potter’s wheel, providing a more direct and immediate way of working and enabling me to create simple shapes and forms that balance the controlled with the unpredictable.

There are several strands to my current practice. I produce ceramic jewellery along with a range of thrown porcelain ware - principally bowls, beakers, mugs, jugs and vases. The individual character of each pot as it evolves on the wheel and the randomness of the decoration making each vessel unique.

Working with the same processes and thinking, I work on larger more experimental ceramics, making exhibition pieces and one-off commission pieces.
