Using quality ingredients, sourced from Orkney wherever possible, Humes use traditional brining and oak smoking methods to skillfully showcase and enhance the fantastic flavours – delivered with a modern twist!

Established in 2016 by husband and wife team Ian and Anthea Hume - Humes | Quality Artisan Foods Orkney is the result of Ian’s, long-time hobby of smoking fish and cheese.

From their production base - The SmokeShack – located at their home in Kirkwall, the couple create a range of smoked goods. Current product range includes smoked; Orkney salmon; mackerel; haddock; Orkney cheese; olives and pate.
