Our support can include specialist advice across a range of key topics including innovation, R&D and improving productivity, as well as access to property, and funding.

A dedicated Orkney team works from the Kirkwall office, maintaining close contact with the business community in general, and specific key sectors and businesses.

HIE provides advice and assistance to ambitious businesses and social enterprises and supports community development in Orkney 's more fragile areas.

Orkney Islands Council's Business Gateway and Economic Development departments are co-located with HIE at Queen Street.

Since COVID, some staff have chosen a hybrid of home and office working, so please contact us to make an appointment if you wish to meet someone face-to-face and want to be sure they will be in the office.
