Heilsa Fjold is Sanday's youth and community centre.

The café is open Tuesday for light lunches and delicious home-made cakes. (PLEASE NOTE - DUE TO COVID-19, THE CAFE WILL REMAIN CLOSED UNTIL 2021).

The centre is open on most days for visitors and locals to use. Refreshments are available on a donation basis outside of cafe times and as well as complimentary wi-fi, there are magazines available and a book exchange, as well as puzzles, word-searches and adult colouring. We even have benches outside where you can sit and enjoy the sunshine!

Rooms can be hired out for parties, events and private functions. This can include use of the kitchen and all its facilities if required.

Monthly events are held throughout the year, such as Farmers Markets, Casual Get Togethers, Crossword & Cuppa etc - please phone or see the Sanday Sound for details.

There are regular Youth Drop-in sessions every Saturday (2.30pm-4.30pm) open to anyone under 18 (over 18s must be accompanied by a child)

Finally, if you find yourself short of a hat, fleece or other items of clothing whilst on holiday, please check out the 'swishing shed' - a type of clothes swap shop - to the side of the building.

Please contact Jane, the centre manager, if you've any other queries.
