Originally known for our sourdough breads and wood-fired pizzas, our bakery has evolved, with a growing focus on creating award-winning, handcrafted sourdough products that celebrate Orkney’s remarkable food heritage.

At the heart of our range are our award-winning Sourdough Beremeal Crackers, made using our 10-year-old sourdough starter and Orkney’s ancient Bere barley, stoneground at nearby Barony Mill, the last working watermill in Orkney. Available in four flavours, our crackers combine a distinctive nutty character with a gentle sourdough tang and satisfying crunch.

Alongside our crackers, we produce Sourdough Beremeal Oatcakes and Sourdough Shortbread, made with organic flour and rich cultured butter. Everything is handcrafted in small batches, using carefully chosen ingredients and traditional methods with a contemporary twist.

Our crackers have received national recognition, including Best New Product at the 2026 Highlands & Islands Food & Drink Awards and prestigious Great Taste Awards.

While our much-loved regular pizza service has come to an end, Eviedale remains a place where good food brings people together. We still make our signature wood fired sourdough pizzas to Cook at home and enjoy at home.

Our cosy former bistro is also available for private celebrations, intimate weddings and special gatherings, with our signature wood-fired pizzas still available for pre-arranged & pop up events.

Visitors to Orkney can discover our products through our bakery's honesty shop in Evie, while our growing range is also finding its way onto the shelves of independent retailers across Orkney, Scotland and beyond.
