Owners Robbie and Joy have re-furbished Burnside incorporating two rooms for bed and breakfast. It has been decorated and furnished to reflect the 1940s era in which the house was built.

Breakfast is served in our porch which has panoramic views down into Stromness, across to Hoy and over Scapa Flow. You can watch a world of weather flit across the sky from here. Breakfast can start with home-poached fruit, Greek yogurt and cereals. Porridge will be made to order. If you have space, you can have a cooked breakfast, choosing from the traditional favourites, all cooked freshly for you. We use our local butcher, Flett's, for all our meat. Orange juice, tea (standard plus a range of herbal teas) or freshly brewed coffee (or decaffeinated) accompany your morning feast - you won't be hungry till lunch!
