Birds have always fed artistic imaginings as symbolic representatives of beauty, discovery, transcendance and ultimately freedom. We create mixed media pieces are stylized dramatic interpretations of the wild Orcadian skies which play with the making and breaking of symmetry. We have been working with mixed media incorporating many techniques including oils, digital paintwork and the application of 22 carat gold leaf and silver leaf all using the finest archival quality Hahnemühle German Etching paper.
