Art & craft classes, exhibitions & shop next to the beach at Osmundwall on the island of Hoy.

Visitors in 2019 will enjoy a summer exhibition of Shoreline Birds including lapwing, oystercatchers & redshank in the gallery overlooking the beach. Get creative & take part in an art workshop inspired by these lovely paintings. Classes are suited to beginners & are held in the Sun Room with an incredible view of the sea & white sand beach of Kirk Hope at Osmundwall, Hoy. There are also local crafts, ceramics, designer knitwear, cards & gifts.

Just outside the gallery is the quiet beach which features in the Orkneyinga Saga which tells the tale of Vikings coming ashore here to attempt to convert pagan islanders to Christianity. Visitors can sit on the Viking seat and see a panoramic view of other islands, towards Scapa Flow & the Pentland Firth. A circular walk takes in Cantick Head & Lighthouse and the southern shore of Hoy with spectacular views to the Scottish mainland.
