Ayre's Rock Orkney, now under new ownership is a small quiet friendly hostel & campsite on the west cost of Sanday.  The hostel which is a converted barn & byre with its  thick stone walls is set in a grassed court yard alongside the converted mill and stables. The hostel sleeps seven people with two twin rooms, one family room (ensuite) and a fully equipped  kitchen with a conservatory to sit and relax in at the end of the day. Also on site is our hostel annex which is a one bedroom self contained cottage which sleeps two with ensuite walk in shower room, fully equipped kitchen and living room. Pets are welcome in our accommodation upon request. We also offer a dinner and breakfast service(on request) if you don't fancy cooking after a long day at the many sandy beaches our island has to offer. 

Our campsite overlooks the Noust of Ayre with lovely sea views. We have three Camping Pods for all year round camping,  three motorhome hardstanding pitches with EHU and 2 camper van grass pitches. We offer an Aires service for wild campers, our campsite has a heated shower block and kitchen area overlooking the Holms of Ire. We are ideally located for enjoying everything Sanday has to offer. Come and experience Sanday, an Orkney Island at its best with beautiful sandy beaches an isle steeped in history and charm. We offer a sanctuary for those that seek it a perfect place to relax.
