Serving Assistant

Peedie Chippie is looking for an additional assistant to help out in our mobile fish and chip van during our regular evening service. This is a great opportunity to be part of a small, friendly team delivering freshly cooked takeaway food to the local community and visitors across Orkney.

We’re based in Orphir, so if you are based there, you could travel to pitches with the van rather than meeting us in locations. 

About the Role

• Part-time, employed role. Wage is hourly and dependent on age but above living wage
• Suitable for applicants aged 16 and over
• Regular evening shifts on Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - 10 months of the year 
• Locations include Orphir, Finstown, and Stromness
• Work includes taking orders, handling payments, food prep support, and general cleaning duties
• Training provided – no experience necessary

• Friendly and reliable
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Comfortable working evening hours
• Keen to commit to regular weekly shifts
