What we do
Xodus has an expanding compliance team with the Environment Division. We have over 20 years of oil and gas permitting experience and have worked with a wide range of operators within the UKCS and beyond. Most recently we have been involved in supporting a number of offshore energy clients with consenting for metocean, geophysical, geotechnical and environmental surveys, and project installation (including cables).
What we’re looking for
To support the continued delivery of high quality, innovative and bespoke support to our clients, we are looking for Environmental Consultants, at all levels of experience, to join our UK-based Environment Division. Working as a key member of our busy Environmental Division, you will take a role in delivering Xodus’ offshore energy projects. Maybe you are a technical specialist looking to expand your portfolio, or maybe you’re a rounded Project Manager looking to work with in partnership with new and exciting clients. Maybe you are not long into your career, but you want the opportunity to work on some significant energy projects in the UK.
As long as you have a background in consenting whether that is within the oil and gas industry or outwith and have a knowledge of associated legislation that underpins what you do, we want to hear from you. Whether your experience is from time in consultancy, regulator, stakeholder or developer, you will fit well within our diverse team to support our clients.
What you’ll do
The specifics of what you do in the team will realty depend on what experience you bring. Maybe you will act as Project Manager across a range of jobs, taking the key client contact role on a day to day basis, and leading consultants within the Xodus team (and external sub-consultants) to deliver offshore projects on time and to budget. Perhaps you will support our most senior staff to deliver strategic business development objectives and team development. Or if you are a technical specialist, its likely you’ll want to support or lead the delivery of the topic areas you are most passionate about across a range of projects.
What you’ll bring
You will have a degree in relevant environmental (or other) discipline. We are flexible on the key requirements to join the team, however, the sort of things we’ll be looking for, depending on the role you wish to take, include:
· Membership of a relevant professional institution;
· Leading or supporting permitting and consenting in the offshore energy industry;
· Contribution to, or managing, preparation of Oil and Gas permitting (Drilling/Decommissioning/Pipeline/Well Intervention), Marine Licences, European Protected Species Licences, for cable installation and surveys for developers.;
· Having a robust understanding of the legislation in Scottish and/or UK jurisdictions;
· Project management ability or interest;
· Expertise in a marine environment subject matter; and
· A history of effective engagement with stakeholders and regulators.
