There are also some special walks on offer throughout the summer. Starting on Sunday 12 June and running every Sunday until 24 July there will be a Flower and Folk Belief walk at the Ring of Brodgar at 4pm. This walk will give people the chance to learn more about wildflowers at the site and the stories behind them. The walk is free and will last for an hour, and there's no need to book. Meet in the Ring of Brodgar car park.
There will also be a Wednesday Wander on June 22 and July 20 at 4pm. It will be a walk at an easy pace around the Ring of Brodgar, looking not just at the archaeology but also the flowers and plants in the area. Again, the walk is free and will last for an hour, and there's no need to book. Meet in the Ring of Brodgar car park.
