With the support of the Rewilding Britain Innovation Fund, the Sanday Development Trust warmly welcomes folk to be part of a six-day Foy in the island.
The event will feature knowledge exchange between specialists from across the UK and experts from island communities. Discussions on coastal communities and the environmental challenges they face now and in the future will be the focus of the Foy, which will also celebrate everything that's special about Sanday.
It all gets underway on Friday 17 July and runs until Wednesday 22 July with a series of events, including a dune walk to explore conservation work at Cata Sand, a wildlife walk with Sanday naturalists and experts, sea swimming and beach pilates, a series of fascinating talks, and a traditional Sanday supper and ceilidh dance.
There will also be a day spent planning strategy and inter-island project exchange, and talks from project leads from the Orkney mainland, Tiree, and Barra.
Events are open to all - view the full programme below or download your copy.
