See work by some of Orkney's talented artistic community at the Pier Arts Centre this Christmas.

The Pier Arts Centre's Annual Open Exhibition is a highlight of the Centre’s programme.

The exhibition includes the work of over 220 local artists and makers in a wide range of mediums including wood carving, photography, ceramics, sculpture and painting, showcasing the wealth of creative talent in Orkney.

With all works original and for sale, the exhibition allows an unparalleled opportunity to revel in the breadth and joy of Orkney’s artistic expression.

On Sunday 26 November, as part of Stromness’ Mulled Wine Sunday activities, there will be an afternoon of Free Festive Family Fun Arts & Crafts Activities at the Centre from 12 noon until 4pm, when there will also be an opportunity to have a look around the the Pier Arts Centre and a browse in the shop. Please note children should be accompanied by an adult.

In addition, the exhibitions will be open late on Wednesday 29 November for the Stromness Christmas tree lighting.

Normal opening times are 10:30am-5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. Admission is free.
