Rousay’s Peedie Lap will be taking place on Sunday 15 June.
This is a free entry adult and children’s fun event, in which participants can cycle, run or walk from The Space, up the Pier Road and along to the Fire Station and back again, in the beautiful island of Rousay. The course is 4.6 miles or 7.4 kilometres. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Refreshments are available at The Space.
The Peedie Lap starts at 1200, with registration at The Space, opening from 1030. Entrants can register on the day, but this year we are encouraging pre-registration online. Details of the event and how to enter are on the Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust website.
The event is free to enter, however donations are encouraged, and all surplus monies will be given to local island groups.
The Lap is organised by the Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust and is open to all ages and abilities. All finishers will be issued with a finishers certificate, a Peedie Lap hat and a Rousay Peedie Lap medal.
Please remember to book your ferry travel via the Orkney Ferries website.
