Go island hopping this summer and run or walk a 5k route in Rousay.

Rousay’s Peedie Lap will be taking place on Sunday 25 June. This is a free entry adult and children’s fun event, in which participants can run or walk from the top of the Pier Road (by the War Memorial) to the fire station and back on the beautiful island of Rousay. Primary age children can, if they prefer, cycle with their parents/guardians, but this is not an adult cycle race, being more of a ‘fun’ running or walking event.

The Peedie Lap starts at 12.00 noon, with registration in the Pier waiting room open from 10:30am. Entrants can register on the day, but this year we are encouraging pre-registration online. Details of the event and how to enter are available online.

There will be a water stop and toilets at the Fire Station, where the fire engine will be out to the participants to see.

The Lap is orgaised by the Rousay, Egilsay & Wyre Development Trust (REWDT) and is open to all ages and abilities, but under 16s must have their parent or guardian or responsible adult with them at all times. All finishers will be issued with a finishers certificate and a Rousay Peedie Lap medal.

The event is free to enter, however donations are encouraged, and all surplus monies will be given to local island groups.

Enter online via the Event Entry website.
