Join us on Wednesday 13th March 2024 at 7.30pm in Stromness Town Hall for an evening with local author Victoria Bennet.

Celebrating the release of the paperback edition of her highly acclaimed memoir All My Wild Mothers, Orkney-based author Victoria Bennett gives an intimate reading from the book, with an opportunity for conversation about its themes of grief, love, motherhood, loss, herbal folklore and a wild apothecary garden.

Amy Liptrot, author of The Outrun, described All My Wild Mothers as “a fascinating, tangled read on gardening as resistance and using the ancient ways to heal in a modern world”. In this time of uncertainty, it has something to teach us about resilience, love and the power of planting a single seed.
