Last Paintings at the Ness: 5000 years a little at a time sees Jeanne Bouza Rose showcase work created over the last six years at the incredible Ness of Brodgar excavation in the Heart of Neolithic Orkney.

The exhibition is a unique body of work, a personal, emotional yet informed view of this special site.

After 20 years of summer excavations, work ceased in 2024 and this internationally recognised dig was recovered and returned to a green field, leaving photos and paintings as the last visual reminders of two decades of painstaking archaeology.

This is a rare opportunity to acquire some of the last artwork of and from the Ness of Brodgar excavation. All pieces were painted on the now closed site.

The Loft Gallery in St Margaret's Hope is open between 10am - 5pm, Tuesday to Saturday. The exhibition will run between 3 - 27 September.
