Join us for the Orkney Arts Society’s opening concert of the new season with pianist Jack Tait Westwell

Jack hails from Orkney and his interest in music developed through playing the fiddle with Jean Leonard and the Orkney Traditional Music Group. He went on to study music at Edinburgh University and on the Artist Masters Piano Performance Course at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. The recipient of several awards and bursaries, he has performed at venues throughout the UK, including London’s Barbican Centre.

In addition to performing, he has a particular interest in teaching and community music. Jack’s wide-ranging recital programme features music by Bach, Bartok, Chaminade, Poulenc, Schumann, Chopin and the American composer and arranger Nico Muhly.
