Chasing the light: photographs from Sanday, Orkney

I'm pleased to present an exhibition of work from the isle of Sanday, in Orkney.

Every summer, I chase the light - lured up again to these islands, by an infinity of space, 180o-sky vistas, and an ever-changing drama of colour and light wrought by an extraordinary fusion of earth, sky and water. In some far-flung corners, a thick, deep almost-silence reigns, threaded with birdsong and sea sound.

From a 2017 summer visit to Sanday, I created Chasing the light, a collection of photography images and a small hand-made artist's book of images and text. I've shown this work in Bristol, and am looking forward very much to bringing the exhibition to the island where it originated.
