Join us for an evening of poetry at Stromness Kirk with one of Scotland's outstanding poets.

Jim Carruth was appointed poet laureate of Glasgow in July 2014.

The most recent of his 14 published volumes of poetry, Far Field, published by Polygon in 2023, completes a trilogy that began with Black Cart in 2017.

He has been described as Scotland’s leading rural poet and an activist and farmer.
