New Orkney business comes into focus

Michael Sinclair Woodturner is the latest Orkney enterprise to be featured in our Business Focus series.

Launched in September last year, the business is the result of a long-term hobby for Michael. He has been producing a mixture of stunning wooden ornamental bowls, vases, boxes and lots more in his spare time for around twenty five years now.

They're all produced with great skill and creativity, which encouraged Michael and his partner Sara to take the leap into starting a full-time business. Now full members of the Orkney Crafts Association with a beautiful studio at their home in Harray, members of the public will be able to see some of the exquisite products for themselves on the Orkney Craft Trail this year.

We've been taking a closer look at Michael Sinclair Woodturner and the company's plans for the future in our latest Business Focus feature - visit our dedicated page to see how chunks of sycamore and oak are turned into beautiful and original items for sale.
