Orkney Crafts Association member Kerr Carpentry is the subject of our latest Business Focus feature.

We take a regular look at our innovative local business community and this time we turn our attention to Burray-based Kerr Carpentry.

Leo Kerr busy in his workshop in Burray

Launched in late 2014 by Leo Kerr, the business has quickly gained a reputation for quality and creativity. From hand-designed furniture to bespoke kitchens and property renovations, the talented team at Kerr Carpentry can tackle it all.

Carpentry and joinery is in the blood for Leo - he served his apprenticeship under his father, Colin, himself a master craftsman. Then, after working with a local joinery firm for nearly a decade, Leo decided the time was right to branch out on his own. Kerr Carpentry is now a well-established business in the islands and a member of the Orkney Crafts Association, and it looks set to go from strength to strength.
