Join us in Stromness Town Hall on Saturday 30th March 2024 at 7.30pm, when husband and wife duo Fali and Naomi Pavri will be treating us to an evening of classical music.

Naomi Pavri is known to many on the Scottish music scene as principal ‘cellist with the Scottish Ensemble. She has also been solo cellist with The Royal Shakespeare Company, part of a string quartet with Nigel Kennedy, Guest Principal with Scottish Opera and Guest Co-principal with the BBCSSO. Naomi recently toured Germany as Principal cello with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. She is an extremely experienced chamber music player and recently performed the Schubert Quintet with the Maggini Quartet.

Fali Pavri is senior professor and Associate Head of Keyboard Studies at the Royal Scottish Conservatoire. He enjoys a busy international career as soloist, chamber musician and committed teacher with many international prize-winning students. An enthusiastic proponent of contemporary music, Fali has given given several world premieres; recent performances include works by Kagel, Birtwistle and Arvo Pärt with the London Sinfonietta. Fali frequently broadcasts on BBC Radio 3 and his recordings include concertos with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the RSNO.
