This website is intended to provide information on all things ‘Orkney’, and is a major project for the Orkney Marketing programme, funded by Orkney Islands Council and Highlands and Islands Enterprise. It has been designed to be attractive, modern, accurate and relevant. We hope that it will be a site that people will return to time and again to find out more about Orkney, and that both local people and people outwith Orkney will find it an invaluable resource when it comes to finding out about life and work in Orkney, and what is going on here in all aspects of life from business to culture to nature all across the islands.

It has been designed by locally based web designers copla, with static text provided by Catherine Turnbull.
