The latest exhibition at the Stromness Museum showcases the work of two under-celebrated geologists who have lived in Orkney.

Ted Kellock was an amateur geologist whose rock slide collection is looked after at the Museum.

Matthew Forster Heddle was Scotland's greatest ever mineralogist, who was born and brought up in Hoy.

The museum has collaborated with Dounby Primary School's P6 - 7 on a creative project which has resulted in pupils curating a section of the exhibition themselves, with input from Orkney textile designer, Kirsteen Stewart, and renowned Orcadian jewellery designer, Sheila Fleet.

The exhibition is open now and will come to a close on Thursday 31st October.
